{a little respite}

My sweat-heart surprised me with an end-of-the-week-extended-Valentine’s-Day beach trip to our favorite little cottage on the coast.  The benefits and perks of working for yourself is that you can make your ‘weekend’ anytime you want :)  So he packed our food and loaded the car and we were off.  He cooked all the meals for us, kept the cottage clean, took us on a hike to top of Cape Perpetua during a foggy, windy morning, gave me lots of kisses, and loved me by caring for my every need the whole time we were gone.  He made his Valentine feel extra special- I married the perfect man for me.  I am truly blessed. We were in need of a little respite to sit and take in the beauty of the Oregon Coast, while reading, soaking in the wood fire, trying my hand at knitting, dreaming, and not having a schedule.  A time to simply unplug. It was incredibly refreshing.  But I’m back to reality now.  This week I’ll try to update you on farm stuff here, but right now I need to work on the administration and design things for the farm that I’ve been putting off for too long ;)
