{birthay celebrations}

Birthdays are a wonderful time to take a breather from the busy-busy bustle of, not only farm life, but the daily grind of ‘typical’ life.

I turned 27 on Thursday.  Mr. Farmer Jones has treated me like a queen not just for a day, but for a whole week!  The celebrations started on Sunday by putting on our rain-gear and pointed the car West and headed for the Oregon Coast.  We took the whole day looking at the torrent of the ocean and the pulsing rain from the comfort of our car or coastal eatery.  And then my wonderful romantic husband surprised me with a special over-night stay at one of our favorite Coastal towns.  It was wonderful and the exact type of mindless relaxation that we both needed.

Now for the weekend we have gone to Portland to spend quality time with my family and celebrating not only my birthday, but also my mom’s- which is on Sunday!  It is great growing old with such an amazing and genuine woman.

I’m taking advantage of the time away from the farm, away from the computer, and away from the daily demands.  It is long over due to fill the tank.  Mr. Farmer Jones and I will be back Sunday afternoon and ready to hit the grind stone Monday morning.

Happy weekend all!
