{a day- maybe a week- in the life: saturday/sunday}
{It is a rule of mine- that I try to keep- to not blog on Sundays. I usually will just blog ahead of time and schedule it to post on Sunday. Tricky, I know ;) But this weekend, Saturday was just too busy and I was just too tired to finish up my week posts by Sunday. So you get to see it today instead. I started my Saturday by biking to a special workout class}
{Then I biked to the Farmers’ Market to help run our booth}
{Being it was such nice weather, there were a lot of people at the market, and we were so busy I kept forgetting to take pictures of us at the booth. But I did take the time to snap a shot while I waited for my crepe for lunch}
{Two of my very dearest friends from college came and visited me! The cutie in the middle, Caila, lives in California now with her adorable little family}
{Her youngest, Strider, also came with her for the visit. Any of you sewing/crafting/mothering? You should totally check out Caila’s blog, CailaMade. It is so inspiring!}
{This is the daughter of my other friend on the left. I get to see her smiling face almost every week. And I love it!!}
{And we all helped unpack and unload from Market}
{When I came in to grab a drink of water after getting home, this little rascal had brought in a- live- present for me. The vole ran around the entire downstairs while Trudy and I frantically tried to get it out of the house. I think that Trudy thinks this is quite a spectacle and brings live rodents into the house simply for her own amusement while I shriek and yell and tell her, “I love how talented you are at catching voles, but please leave them outside where they belong.” }
{Once I calmed down a bit, I unloaded some of our goodies from the Market}
{After chores were finished, we decided we needed a date night being we hadn’t had one this week. So we saw a movie and grabbed a bite to eat at our favorite downtown spot. Please notice the awesome coasters detailing THIS awesome event happening at our farm on July 28th}
{We hadn’t had gelato in forever and thought that it was the perfect night to grab a scoop. It was so hot outside though, we had to eat it a little too fast for me to fully enjoy it, but it was definitely still very delicious}
{Then we went and sat by the fountain and watched all the kids play}
{There were a ton of people out, including these people having a drum session. Oh, dear ol’ Corvallis. That was the end of our Saturday. It was wonderfully relaxing.}
{On Sunday, we went to church and then decided to go enjoy the nice weather. So we packed up a whole bunch of stuff and headed to the end of the field for some imitation glamping}
{Couldn’t have been a better day. That is what I thought at least until…}
{I pulled out the Mama Mead’s gluten-free chocolate caramel salted brownies!!! You have no idea how much self-control it took for me to stop eating in order to take a picture. And even more self-control to actually share one with Tyler!}
{We ended our Sunday under a setting sun, enjoying our property and all that God has blessed us with. And that concludes my day- which actually really ended up being a week- in the life. Thanks for following me through it!}

Love how you ride with your strappy, glam-a-rific sandals stuck into the toe clips!
Haha! Glad you noticed ;) I’ve thought before that instead of calling my blog “high heels in the barnyard” it should just be “inappropriate footwear in and around the barnyard”
Loving your photos – thanks for sharing – Happy Tuesday:)
Thanks so much! ;)
A perfect end to the series! And it was sooo fun seeing you at the market. Wish I could buy from you every week. :)
P.S. Look at you biking home in those fabulous sandals…
